Crypto Scams – newly found BMG app scam

In the first few posts, I will be writing about various and types of Crypto SCAMS happening around the world and in particular related to trading & investments, fake software engagements, Crypto recoveries to name a few.

In talking to a few victims of various scams, most common are the investment fraud which is lured by marketing campaigns capturing your details like name, phone and emails which is then forwarded or sold to various fake crypto organisations.

Most recent one was led by BMG Blockchain Software, registered in US but claims to be a German company…really? They are not registered by any Financial advisory organisations, but their support claims to be in China so their response is also a one liner. One of the recent victims has approached the Met Police in London and have reported how BMG software is used by some of the scammers and lure people to invest 20k, 50k and 100k chunks by showing how fast crypto can make you a millionaire. However, in the background the software is actually just reporting the live crypto prices but trading internally. The Trade values change while trading and was observed by one of the victims and did report to the BMG support, they were negligent he claims. The BMG scan was led by 2 individuals claiming to be from UK named Christopher Weber (the leader) and Jenny (the Assistant) however they only used Whatsapp numbers so they cannot be reached.

They are also known as Professor Lukas and assistant Sophia and use a support gmail account – bmggroupvip@gmail.com. Which reputed company uses a gmail account.

BMG isn’t the real trading app so beware before it is downloaded and it is supported by a trading exchange which is currently under investigation. So if you happen to come across any Software like BMG, please be mindful, it is not accredited or approved by UK/EU laws so your money is at risk.
